“You are where you are, based on the decisions you make.” Yemisi Onibokun
Life is about choices and making decisions, it is something that ties all humans’ beings. It is said that an average person makes more than 35,000 decisions a day.
It starts even before you wake up in the morning- should you sleep some more or get out of bed once the alarm goes off? Then it proceeds into what to wear, what to eat and the decisions just coming one after the other throughout the day.
The decisions we make today sets the tone for our future. Some decisions are made on impulse, some decisions were made for us (even before we were born or when we were young), some decisions are made on expectations or just realities of life, while others are made by deliberately thinking through it.

Successful people make decisions based on where they want to be.” Anonymous
It is important to take time to consider the aftermath of our decisions. Simple decisions like deciding when to go to bed or what to eat can be easier to make. While more complex decisions such as moving to another city for a job or co-signing on a car for a friend, these decisions most certainly require more thought and considerations.
Wrong decisions can have negative impact in our lives and slow us down with attaining our life goals. Therefore, it is important not make decisions when you are in a bad mood or upset and also when under pressure.
Factors to consider when making decisions
- Identify the ultimate end goal
- Gather all the related information
- Weigh the pros and cons
- Think about consequences,
- Will it yield positive or negative results for you?
- Will it hurt anyone?
- Will it make you happy?
These are all important factors to consider
